&iquest;C&oacute;mo se sentir&iacute;a si durante el receso del invierno fuera a otro pa&iacute;s y pudiera gastar solo un d&oacute;lar cada d&iacute;a para la comida? Unas buenas vacaciones &iquest;verdad? &iexcl; No! No tiene raz&oacute;n. Es una de las experiencias m&aacute;s transcendentes de su vida.

In 1962, Senator Gaylord Nelson, Founder of Earth Day, spearheaded the concept of intense environmental awareness in the U.S. Throughout the 1950's and 1960's in particular, the state of the environment was virtually irrelevant to many politicians. Out of concern, Nelson made an appointment to speak to President Kennedy about beginning a national conservation tour to shed light on the issue.

Got Blood?

Every two seconds someone in the US needs blood. It could be your mom, dad, a sibling, your best friend, or even you. In the event of an emergency, having an adequate supply of blood is not only crucial - it's the difference between life and death. <br />
It seems that finding potential donors should be easily, since everyone has blood, and the donation process is quite simple.

It's that time of year again! With the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China quickly approaching, it's time to light the fire and start the torch relay. The torch has been used in each Olympic Games since 1934, symbolizing the use of the Olympic flame in the ancient Olympics in Greece.

If you are a DVD buyer, then you surely know about the recent high definition optical disc format war. This battle of formats was between Toshiba, with their HD DVDs; and Sony, with their Blu-Ray discs. As you may also know, the format war ended in February when Toshiba announced they were ceasing the production of the HD DVD.

They Want You! A Reflection on Military Service

The military is something I deeply fear. Call me unpatriotic, cowardly, or weak if you must, but I would never want to be in any type of armed service for this or any other country. Even if I was the guy that typed on the computer and never saw what a battlefield looked like, I would not be interested at all.
