Johnny Strong! Maybe you have heard that name before. Perhaps you have seen him in "Glimmer Man" or "Get Carter." If not, then surely you know him from the Vin Diesel flick, "The Fast and the Furious," or from his "Black Hawk Down." Recently, Strong has blasted onto the music scene with his band "Operator," and the gut wrenching song, "Soul Crusher," which was released this year.
If you have not been introduced to this multi-talented man, the perfect source for you to get caught up is UJSFC, also known as the Unofficial Johnny Strong Fan Club, which spawns from the mind of one very multi-talented lady named Angie Gotto.
The heart and soul of UJSFC, Gotto has decided to make it her responsibility to keep the fans of Strong informed. When she opened her site, it was the only source of information on Strong, and many sites have come and gone but UJSFC is the only one still going. It was the charisma that Strong reflected on screen that caught Gotto's attention, and with her love for web design blossoming, Strong became Gotto's muse.
"People told me I couldn't do this because I didn't have the proper schooling," said Gotto. Without the education, Gotto taught herself the art of web design. "UJSFC is run entirely by me. I do everything and I never took a web design class. I picked up the application one day and went to work," said Gotto. "As the site has grown and matured, I did as a web designer, as well."
Although Gotto is also a wife and mother of two, she somehow found the time to start her site. "[In addition to] working full time, I freelance as a writer and web designer, and I'm learning a little bit about photography," said Gotto. "I'm married to a fire fighter/paramedic, we have two boys, and I'm a children's soccer coach." Because of her hectic schedule, Gotto usually takes time on the weekend to spend working on her site. "The last redesign to UJSFC took 32 hours, which was broken up into two weekends of eight to ten hour sessions."
