In the last issue, I gave you some information about the Holy Family University License Plates. Well, it is no longer just a possibility; it is a reality.
Thanks to you, Holy Family University now has its own license plate in production. The petition required a hundred signatures and PennDOT approved the plate. As of October 29, 300 signatures were on the petition, and Timothy Miller, Alumni Student Liaison, is thrilled. "It feels great to have the project become a reality. After three tries, the latest taking over a year and half, it's a good feeling to know your hard work has paid off." Timothy also informed me that the Department of Corrections is currently working on the design and the production process is about to begin. This means will all have access to the license plate soon enough.
An interesting thing to note is that once the previous issue of the Tri-Lite became available to the people, the signatures got a boost and came flowing in. Good to know that my article pleased more than my fellow writers and the fine people of the Alumni Association. Those who helped the project with your signature should already have received an email notification of the approval. Those of you that didn't take a moment to sign the petition are not out of the loop though. All you need to do is contact Timothy Miller at tmiller@holyfamily.edu or someone else with the Alumni Association about the HFU License Plate. They'll set you up if you meet the requirements. This is an indefinite project, so if you find yourself wanting it a year from now, you'll be able to get it.
Just a reminder straight from the last issue of Tri-Lite: If you signed, you will be contacted to fill out the necessary applications that will transfer your registration from your current license plate to your brand new Holy Family license plate. Once you complete this form, you must take it to the Alumni Office so they can sign and you can pay. It is a small fee of $30.00 and a third of that helps the Alumni Association. If you didn't sign, you can still sign now or ask Mr. Miller about it. All you need to do is send a brief e-mail to alumni@holyfamily.edu or tmiller@holyfamily.edu. In the e-mail all you have to type is your name, address, and affiliation with Holy Family. Remember, you must have your car registered here in Pennsylvania.
Thanks for all the support, readers, and thank you for the awesome license plate.
