Mmmm...Starbucks. There is nothing like waking up early on a Sunday morning, taking a drive and pulling into the parking lot of one of my favorite places on earth. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is just something about the warm taste of a delicious chai tea that makes my visit seem like a religious experience. In the past, I was a solid Dunkin Donuts fan, and I still visit there from time to time to drink a coffee and reminisce about the past; but ever since my lips touched that heavenly tea, I have been hooked.

I am constantly hearing debates and complaints that Starbucks is too bitter, or tastes like rotting sewage, and with that I will have to agree. Their coffee is in fact less than mediocre.  If that were the only drink available, I would never even bother with the place....but Ahh that chai tea.

I don't believe that there are enough adjectives in the English language to express my complete infatuation with this drink. If it were possible to have a love affair with any drink on the planet, this drink would be the one. If it were possible to marry a hot beverage, chai tea would be a serious contender. So if I have not already made myself perfectly clear, I am in love....with chai. If you have not yet done so, please drive to the nearest Starbucks and order yourself some nirvana in a cup, and I am sure you will whole heartedly agree with me. (If you are unaware of the nearest Starbucks location, I know where every Starbucks is within a fifteen mile radius of campus. Do not hesitate to email me at blafty@holyfamily.edu.)
